
- Born, raised and educated in the Los Angeles area
- Four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era, 1967 – 1971; worked as a Ground Radio Repairman, primarily at Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA and Okinawa, Japan
- Attended Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, 1974; one semester studying Mexican liberal arts
- Obtained bachelors and masters degrees in engineering: Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA (1973) and Cal State, Northridge, CA (1975), respectively
- Worked in engineering as a civilian for the U.S. Navy, 1974 – 1992
- While working during the day in engineering, taught mathematics at night at Oxnard Community College, Oxnard, CA
- Full-time, tenured Professor of Mathematics at Oxnard Community College, 1992 – 2008
- Obtained Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Oxnard College, 2003
- Part-time Professor Emeritus (retired) of Mathematics, Oxnard College, 2008 - present
- Began Real World Projects, 2009, as a sole proprietor business, in cooperation with the Shaklee Corporation, based in Pleasanton, CA
- I have one adult daughter and two grandsons. I also have two adult stepsons.
- I live in Port Hueneme, CA, next to Oxnard, CA, which is about an hour north of Los Angeles on the coast.
